Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. 

Established in the year 2007, the institute has steeply risen in excellence and engineering course offerings throughout the years. It received the Deemed to be University status by the UGC and approved by the AICTE as well. The institute has been accredited by the NAAC as well.

The campus is spread well across 100 acres and offers undergraduate courses to overall over 560 students and postgraduate courses to 160 students. Doctorate programs are offers to more than 100 students. 

Admission for the college is undertaken through JEE main marks, and the fees are around 2.5 lakh rupees and upwards based on the course opted. IIST offers a wide range of clubs, societies, and committees to help students engage in different activities for a holistic upbringing. 

National Institute of Technology, Calicut. 

Hailing to be one of the best government engineering colleges in Kerala, the National Institute of Technology, Calicut speaks for itself. The college is one of 31 essential engineering institutions in the country. Established under the NIT act of 2007, the institution is funded by the Government of India.

The institution undertakes several research-oriented programs in several branches of the engineering stream. They have robust MoU’s tied up with different colleges, universities, and organizations. The college was established way back in 1962 under the name of Regional Engineering College (REC) which was later turned into NIT in 2002. 

All forms of engineering courses are offered along with sciences, management, and technology-oriented subjects. Apart from engineering, the college is heavily invested in humanitarian and sciences related activities as well.

Established by the Government of Kerala in 1971, the university was earlier known as the University of Cochin. The university offers well over 53 postgraduate courses, 14 undergraduate courses, and 9 M.Phil. & Ph.D. programs collectively.

The university is well equipped with academic and infrastructural facilities for students and faculty members to access. Spread across 140 acres, the UGC and AICTE recognize the university. 

There are well over 4000 students enrolled in the university with little less than 400 faculty members. The university offers management courses as well. The fees of the university range anywhere from 1.75 lakh rupees and upwards depending on the selection of the course. 

College of Engineering, Trivandrum. 

Established in the year 1939, the college of engineering, Trivandrum has outpaced several other institutions to become a premier center for undertaking engineering-oriented courses. Also referred to as CET, Trivandrum, the college is administered by the government of Kerala. The college is affiliated with KTU and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

One of the fee NBA accredited engineering college in Kerala; the campus is spread well over 125 acres. There are well over 4000+ students accompanied by more than 250+ faculty members spread through different departments. 

CET offers only undergraduate and postgraduate courses and nothing else. The total fees of undertaking an undergraduate course in the college would be 1.3 lakh rupees and upwards based on the selection of course. 

Government Engineering College, Thrissur. 

Government Engineering College, Thrissur came into existence in the year 1957. The university is fully-fledged in offering an extensive array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There are ten postgraduate courses, Ph.D. research programs, and more.

The university also provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses for Architecture and Postgraduate courses in Computer Sciences. The university has been recognized by the AICTE and affiliated to KTU. It has also received accreditation by the NBA. 

Spread across 12 acres, it might not be the biggest, but still has well over 3500+ students and 150+ faculties for different courses. The undergraduate engineering fees are relatively less starting from 17,000 rupees and variable depending on the course opting.
